(There's nothing particularly unusual about a narrative CV and how you write one - so in theory, it's as easy to lie with other forms of CV as it is for an NCV)

You can leave modules blank, but reviewers tell us this is often more obvious than if you only have 1 or 2 achievements in that module.

NB: Wellcome Trust is a slight exception to this rule, because it specifies word counts for each module.

My advice to researchers here is to always back up what they're saying with evidence, to help convince reviewers.

The NCV is marked holistically, so it's less about finding the right module, and more about building up an overall narrative of their skills and accomplishments.

• (If needed) Additional sentence summarising any other relevant contributions

A strong CV is always tailored to the specific opportunity, demonstrating how you have the skills and experience for that particular position.

Plenty of people build details of their career history into the modules (particularly Module 1, which is well-suited to a more chronological approach).
