         <description><![CDATA[<div>June 9, 1772<br><br>The Gaspee was a British ship that was a part of the anti-smuggling plan which searched for ships smuggling goods. After tracking down a ship, the sailors of the smuggling ship killed the lieutenant on the Gaspee and burned down the ship.</div>]]></description>
