In the text, ¨Out of my Mind¨, I think that Melody's teachers have more power than her. Because of Melody's disabilities, (Which is that she cannot talk or communicate very well) I think that the teachers power dynamics affect the relationship. Melody's teachers do not understand what Melody is thinking, or know that Melody is not a baby anymore. In the text it states how Melody does not like how her teachers treat her like a baby, and how people do not understand what she is thinking because of her disabilities. I also think that this impacts Melody's relationship with her teachers because she cannot tell them that she does not like the way that they are treating her, and teaching her.

In Blubber I think Wendy Jill friend, Wendy have more power than Jill because when Jill with Wendy. Wendy tell Jill what to do like chapter 4 pg. 39-41 . Their were bullying Linda and Wendy tell Jill to something it like in school during Halloween for most beautiful costume and when their are coming back to go their classroom .Wendy said that to "strip her, flenser" she said and Wendy said that she going to throw her cape out of the window so walk down in the hall in her blubbery birthday suit. birthday suit is like nakedness unclothing of a human natural anatomy without clothing . Wendy tell Linda to tell don't anyone about it.

in the text out of my mind when Melody's mom is pregnant with Penny her little sister the dad takes on the power of taking care of melody and has the most power. In the text the author says "from then on mom put dad in charge of lifting me" .......... the author also says "During moms entire pregnancy dad did a lot more" This is why I think when melody mom was pregnant her dad had more power.

In the text out of my mind. mom is pregnat with penny and the dad has the most power. also, the text says that "from now on dad will be in charge" nother example is when the mom had penny the dad had to do a lot more work because the mom was pregnat. after the mom has penny I think hat the power goes to her teachers because melody is not able to speak or cumunicate very well. also I think that the teachers dynamics affect the relationship between melody and her teachers. another thing is that in the text some of her teachers trust her like babys and she does not like that.

Stuck in Neutral:
In the text, Stuck in Neutral the dad has more power than Shawn because Shawn can't move any of his muscles and he can't talk either so the dad does not know what is going on with him. Shawn can hear what everyone is saying/ his dad so the dad has more power because the dad is trying to help Shawn with his pain and Shawn thinks he is planning to kill him but its only because he wants to end his pain. Also this is what the dad said on page 21 "Maybe you'd be better off if i ended your pain?" and that's when Shawn thought that his dad was going to kill him. his dad also said he is helpless. On page 21 the father added on and said "How can we protect you?" so the dad has more power because he is trying to help Shawn and since he cannot move anything he cannot help himself.

In the text, stuck in neutral the dad has more power than Shawn because Shawn can't talk back to the dad so the dad has no idea Shawn can hear what the dad is saying.
For example Shawn's dad wants to kill him and end his pain out of love. On page 21 Shawn said "He turned away and spoke "Hopeless." then he added, so softly I could barely hear, "Maybe you'd be better off if I ended your pain?" We sat there quietly and I thought about what my dad had said. I had no idea what he meant, but it made me feel strange and a little nervous, so I tried to put it in the back of my mind." That the reason his dad has more power than Shawn.

In the text Stuck in Neutral I think dad has a lot of power compared to Shawn. Shawn can't talk but he can hear what dad is saying so he know's what's up, but dad doesn't know he can so he hear what he is talking about "ending his pain" even know Shawn is in no pain but he has no way to let him know. Shawn can't do anything with his body/muscles or mouth so he has no control. For example on page 21 he said "Maybe you'd be better off if I ended your pain" Another example is on page 78 he was talking to a guy named earl about how he ended his child's pain. When he is having a seizure it look's like he his in pain but really he isn't and Shawn said on page 32 "I don't know when a seizure will strike but when it does it's like a miracle" He also said "As the seizures continue I began to smile and laugh." Those are most of the reasons I think dad has more power over Shawn.

Victor has more power than Rico. Rico is all nice and kind. but victor is we are getting over the border right now i'm not holding back. Rico and his mom are nice but also mean. he is mean to Victor because he will not help victor over the border. And Ricos parents are mean because the dad a dose note care about Rico that much. and dose not care if Rico crosses the border. but the mom was i think he shood not cross the border and cares about Rico more than the Dad dose. but the dad has more power than the mom and the mom has to lison to the dad and not to her.

In Knock Out the main character is Levi he has a mom and a brother named Timothy he also has a dad. Levi and Timothy have the power because they can chose who they can be with and chose who they like more. The power affects the characters relationships because the other parent might want this kid and the other parent would want the kid that the other parent has and it causes the relation ship to go bad. I think that the power is important because you can chose what you want to do like Levi wants to do boxing because his dad told him about boxing.
Levi just wants to be treated like a typical kid. As a baby, he had a serious disease that caused him affected issues. He's fine now, but his mom and overprotective brother still think of him as damaged, and his schoolmates see him as the same class clown he's always been. He feels stuck. So when his dad divorced from his mom suggests he take up boxing, he falls in love with the sport. And when he finds out about a school with a killer boxing team and a free study curriculum, it feels like he's found a ticket to a new Levi. But how can he tell his mom about boxing? And how can he convince his family to set him free from his parents.

In the text Knock Out,Levi is the main character and Timothy is his brother, he has more power than Levi because he has been in juvenile.His dad thought that boxing would be a good fit for him and the dad started training him.Timothy keeps telling Levi to not do boxing because Timothy had bad experience with it during juvenile days.He also has more power over Levi because he is older and also he acts like he is Levi's guardian.In the page 48-50 it talks about how Timothy didn't let Levi go out to see his friend Tam."I love Tams's house tough I hardly ever go because Mom and Timothy like to keep me home". That's why Timothy and her mom are protective and have more power against him because he is the youngest in the family.

Between Jill and the music teacher, the music teacher has the power because the music teacher is older and Jill is a student. In the text Jill was trying not to laughing at Linda and then the the music teacher saw Jill smile. The music teacher came to Jill desk and said "do u know what coming out of my mouth". Jill Didn't know what the teacher just did so Jill said "spit". The music teacher said "that was rude of you go to the corner and face it".

Timothy has more power over Levi because he is older and he acts like his guardian most of the time and he has to listen to his brother Timothy. Timothy does not really let him go to his friends house, for an example, " I love Tam's house though I hardly ever go because mom and Timothy like to keep me at the house". Another example, " Timothy does not answer at first when I ask about Tam then he says not tonight". His brother has the advantage because Timothy is older and stronger than Levi, plus Levi has a breathing condition.

In the text crossing the wire victor wanted to cross the wire but his parents dint want him to cross it because they think is a big risk. Like getting shot or getting sent to jail and get send back. They can help him or been like sure but be careful when you go they could be like that. The parents have the powers because there the one saying dont go or yes go.

Skip & Will's dad has more power in the relationship. I know this because he is the parent, adult, authority figure, and physically stronger. Will is intimidated by him when he walks in his bedroom expecting mom. The text says, " ...when I saw my father, most of the color drained from my face.....I couldn't lie. I couldn't tell the truth...I couldn't speak."

In the book'Out Of My Mind I think the dad has the most power because he took over when the mom had Penny, he had power over Melody because she was pregnant.Penny is Melody's little sister,also the author explains how the dad takes over Melody because the mom was all over Penny Melody's new baby sister and that's why I think the dad has the most power.
