The Romanian participants in the Erasmus+ learning programme for group activities Project code: 2024-1-RO01-KA121-SCH-000206543 are happy to share their experiences and the results of the European cooperation between LICEUL TEORETIC RADU VLĂDESCU PĂTÂRLAGELE (ROMANIA) and OLOIMERO DIMOTIKO SXOLEIO PERIOXIS BATHYLAKKOY (GREECE). The main objective of the second year of Erasmus Accreditation for Liceul Teoretic “Radu Vlădescu” is the modernization and internationalization of the teaching-learning-assessment process through key-competence development and exchange of good practices, to the detriment of outdated approaches. This joint digital album entitled "Taken in Greece" will allow the participants to gain the benefits of both task-based learning and transnational collaboration while practising two modern learning and evaluation methods: photovoice and digital story-telling. Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the ANPCDEFP. Neither the European Union nor the ANPCDEFP can be held responsible for them.

The computer lab at the school in Greece was very similar to the one at my school in Romania. The main difference is that, in the center of the Greek lab, there was a large round table, a great place to learn and work on projects with friends. The big round table in the middle makes it easy to collaborate and share ideas. The lab is filled with computers, providing access to the internet and various software for schoolwork and fun activities. Plus, the environment is designed to help students focus and be productive.

Originally founded as a refuge from political turmoil, the monasteries flourished during the Byzantine era. They became centers of learning, culture, and art, attracting scholars and artists. Throughout the centuries, the monasteries have survived invasions and natural disasters, standing as symbols of strength and perseverance.

This poster on one of the walls of the Greek school looked like a 3D map of the Kozani area with rivers, roads, and buildings. It has a lot of blue areas that look like water, maybe rivers or lakes, winding around the land. There are bridges that cross over the water, and you can see some buildings and a small airport or runway. In one part, there’s what looks like a volcano or mountain, and around it are forests and other land areas. The map is colourful and shows a mix of nature and man-made things, and it’s hanging on an orange wall.

Meteora is not just a remarkable sight; it holds deep spiritual significance for many. Founded in the 14th century, the monasteries were established by hermit monks seeking solitude and a closer connection to God. The tranquil setting offers a perfect environment for meditation and reflection, making it a pilgrimage site for those seeking spiritual growth. Visitors often feel a sense of peace as they walk the grounds, immersing themselves in the history and spirituality that permeate the air. The enduring faith of the monks is evident in the preserved traditions and practices still observed today.

Lake Polyfyto is not only a natural wonder but also a site steeped in history. The lake was formed in the 1970s due to the construction of the Polyfyto Dam, which submerged several ancient villages and remnants of past civilizations. These underwater ruins tell tales of a bygone era, making the lake a poignant reminder of the region’s rich cultural heritage. Visitors often seek out local guides to learn about the historical significance of the area, including the ancient artifacts and structures that were lost beneath the waters.

This is the view from the restaurant "Tip Top", where we often had dinner. I loved the charming clock, especially how it chimed every hour, adding a lovely touch to the atmosphere.

This is the view from one of the ships in Thessaloniki, offering a stunning perspective of the city from the water. I loved how you could see the entire town, with its vibrant city lights beginning to sparkle as dusk set in, casting a warm glow across the waterfront. From this vantage point, the lights of Thessaloniki stretched out like a sea of stars, illuminating the skyline and reflecting off the water, creating a magical and lively atmosphere. The gentle sway of the ship made it even more enchanting, allowing for a peaceful yet captivating view of the city coming alive at night.
