Black Friday in the US is a one-day event after Thanksgiving, focused on physical and digital shopping, with a wide variety of products and discounts. While in Brazil, it's a more digital phenomenon, extending throughout the entire month, with stores offering promotions during Black November to attract customers. Other differences include the absence of Thanksgiving in Brazil, the use of the dollar, and consumer confidence in discounts.

Characters:

Amanda – ama tecnologia

Brayan– economiza muito

Lara – gosta de moda

Kaio– cético sobre Black Friday

Amanda:
Hey everyone! Are you excited for Black Friday? I can’t wait to check out the electronics deals!
Lara:
Same here, but I’m only buying something if I can really save money. Last year, I was able to get a phone for 40% off!
Lara:
Lucky you! I wish I could find discounts like that on clothes. Most of the time, it’s just old stuff.
Kaio:
Honestly, I don’t trust those sales. Stores act like we’re getting huge discounts, but many prices are fake. I would rather wait for end-of-season sales.
Amanda:
You have a point, Tom, but if you're careful, you can find real bargains. I’ve already made a list, so I won’t buy things I don’t need.
Brayan:
Smart move. I remember one year I bought a TV just because it was cheap. I never used it. If I had waited, I could have saved that money for something better.
Lara
Yeah, I always tell myself I’ll only buy what I truly need, but when I see the signs and crowds, I just... can’t help it.
Kaio:
That’s how they get you! But hey, if you all go shopping, let me know. I would go just to watch the madness.
Amanda:
Deal! And who knows, maybe you’ll actually find something you like. You might be able to change your mind about Black Friday.

As a group, we support Black Friday because it provides an excellent opportunity for people to access quality products at more affordable prices. It allows families to save money, prepare for the holiday season, and purchase items they might not normally afford. Additionally, Black Friday boosts the economy by increasing sales for businesses, creating jobs, and encouraging competition that benefits consumers. We believe that, when practiced responsibly, Black Friday is a positive event for both shoppers and retailers.
