  • Before the module on sculpture, I thought that any 3-D piece of art is a sculpture that exudes beauty. 
  • I thought that its beauty depends on who is critiquing the piece and that there are no set rules on defining if it is something beautiful.
  • Sculptures were something that I would just pass by especially if it is displayed in schools or houses.

A sculpture that is a fine art exudes beauty and has this as its main purpose. Figuring out the beauty of a sculpture requires one to take into consideration all the elements in the piece such as proportion, color,  scale, orientation, space, balance, material, etc. One should take a look at how all these parts fit together to determine if such is truly a fine art. 
    I also learned that there are different styles of sculptures (Archaic, Hellenistic, Classical, Baroque, etc.) and different types of sculptures (bust, relief, statue, etc.).   • I want to learn more about the different materials and techniques that can be used in making a sculpture.
  • I want to learn about more modern styles of sculpture, and if these styles could still be considered a fine art.
  • I also want to figure out how these artists conceptualize their masterpiece and the steps they take before the piece is actualized.
