However, as social media sites is a lot more popular now as compared to the olden days, hence more young people in today's society make use of social media much more regularly than people in the past do.
- For example, teenagers nowadays, in my opinion, uses Instagram and Snapchat more often as compared to other social media platforms such as Facebook and Tumblr. Nonetheless, there are still many adults, from age 30-40 years old who uses Facebook as it was the hottest social media platform during their prime years, when it first became a well-known social media site in around 2009 or so.
- Therefore, generally speaking, all these social media sites were invented in different era and were meant for different age groups or people from different era. However, that does not stop the older generations from using such platforms and vice versa. Everyone is free to use whichever social media platform where they feel is most comfortable to express their thoughts and feelings without having to feel judged or threatened.
- With that said, as social media platforms enable people from all over the world to connectwith one another, it is basic etiquette to display respect towards each other despite the differences. This is so as to prevent any social tension between different groups of people as well as to make social media platforms a place where people can use to interact with people easily.
