They are a single party government which is controlled by communists. But the government doesn't control the economy (like North Korea) they allow free markets which is unusual for a communistic country. With the US they are super strong allies but also super strong enemies. Our trading system with them is huge, the 2nd largest (first is Canada). American cooperation's rely on China's factories and marketing to make our stuff. But they are a communistic party and we are democracy. We don't behave like them politically. They're military is the largest military in the entire world and we have the 2nd largest. They have no standards of living they are not free like we are.
