Brown v. Board of Education was a landmark in 1954 of the Supreme Court case. It was one of the cornerstones that civil rights movement and helped establish that separated but equal education among the students. Governor Orval Faubus of Arkansas said the state National Guard to prevent black students to stop attending high school in Little Rock 1954. Before the Supreme Court, Brown and other 4 four cases related to school combined the case into one and called them Brown v. Board of Education. A year after the decision Rosa Parks refused to move from her sit on the bus for a white person on the Alabama bus. This incident spread world wide that the Montgomery bus boycott and other boycott that meant led them by Martin Luther King, which eventually stopped the laws on Jim Crow across the South. Now more than 60 years after the Brown v. Board of Education the debate continues over how to combat racial inequalities in the nation’s school system.
