If it wasn't destiny why would the people that did move west persevere through all the hardships just to get there not knowing if there even going to make back what you spent to even move west. as well as working for almost 4 years just to be able to go for most. And if things even went a little good they would have a better life because well for most there life in the east was not very good so all these new things for them to do was a very big and life saving opportunity mostly for the poor who badly needed money. As well for all the new people, business, and job opportunists for people to get. And if you fail you have a chance to make up something you like doing and make good profit off of it. Also this paved the way for some of the newest modern inventions like the train, monorail, phone, plane and more. Also think about what the world would be like today if they didn't move west the world would be different as we know it. Along with what if we got attacked by that big country with all those resources that were out there imagine if they invaded the old US. it might not have been destiny for some but for those who seceded how would it not be destiny. Also imagine what history would be like if we didn't move west. Along with the fact that we also would've overpopulated that small east coast sooner or later. so if we didn't move it eventually would've led to our demise.
