         <title>Mongol Empire </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A strong leader, Temujin joined all the mangol tribes in 1206 and became Genghis Khan also known as "universal ruler". The genghis died in 1227, Ogadai, his son took power. He expanded to the west to Russia and Persia. Ogadai divides the Mongolia empire into four large parts. Kublai khan, genghis grandson took power of the Chinese part of the empire. His forces defeated the Song in 1279 and had power until 1368.</div>]]></description>

He brought back old traditions that would make the Chinese reminisce of how great China was. Wendi also allowed people to have their own beliefs and rebuilt parts of the Great Wall. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kublai khan took control of China for 15 years and died in 1294. Throughout those 15 years the Mongol empire didn't have a government or knew a lot. Kublai  Khan kept certain features of the Chinese government because he didn't want politicians to gain too much power. He built a capitol at Beijing in a traditional Chinese style and announced himself as empower.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the Song's reign, trade was growing in China. Many ships with goods would be along the coastline of China. These ships would come from Korea or Japan. Since trade would grow,  the use of money would start to change. Coins would be heavy and larger to use for trade, so the Song and Tang decided to be the first governments to have paper money.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chinese inventions helped create history in China and the West in many ways. Paper-making started to spread to the Arab and to Europe in the 700's. The Chinese created gunpowder, which was used for fireworks and soon used for firearms. They also made the first magnetic compass and helped shaped daily life by inventing porcelain. Porcelain was a hard white ceramic that people adored for its beauty.</div>]]></description>

This led to many problems, after five years Hongwu son Yongle won and declared himself as emperor. He enlarged the capitol city Beijing, great&nbsp; complicated palaces and temples. At this time these collection of bulidings became known as the Forbidden City.&nbsp; That symbolized Yongle's and China's power and pride. </div>]]></description>

He wanted to expand Chinese influence and a tribute with other countries. A tribute is a payment made by one country to another as a sign of respect. They completed seven long voyages. Zhang He led the voyages, he had has many three hundred ships with twenty-eight thousand people on those ships. He went around Southeast Asia to India, Arabia, And Africa </div>]]></description>
