A example of friendship in the book the outsiders by SE Hinton is on page 73 “I gave dallys jacket to wrap him up in and he sat shivering in the sunlight on the back steps leaning against the door combing his hair back. It was the first time I could see that he had eyebrows. He didn’t look like Johnny. His forehead was whiter where his bangs had been it would have been funny if we had if he hadn’t been so scared. He was still shivering with cold.” This text from The novel resembles friendship because most True friends noticed when people look different or seem off. Most true friends also comfort a friend in need.

In the book the outsiders by SE Hinton on page 71 the text states “a paperback copy of gone with the wind! How’d you know I always wanted one? Johnny reddended. “I remembered you saying something about it once. And me and you went to see that movie, remember? I thought maybe you could read it out loud and help kill time or something” This text resembled friendship/family because pony brought Johnny a book even he knew nothing about. Pony remembered the smallest thing Johnny had said and turned it into something bigger by remembering it. Also only Johnny reads and watches movies in the family so to have someone listen about something they don’t care for can make an impact in your daily life.

In the book The Outsiders by: S.E. Hinton page 119 states, “The nurses wouldn’t let us see Johnny. He was in critical condition. No visitors. But two-bit wouldn’t take no for an answer. That was his buddy in there as he aimed to see him.”
In this quote two-bit and pony were soo determined o see Johnny.
