Both of them have characters that are bilingual. Like Elisa and the narrator because they talk them both. The differences are that in "Elisa's Diary" there isn't much or any Spanish words spoken from the characters. The text didn't have any phrases or words in Spanish. In "Words Free as Confetti" has the narrator saying Spanish phrases and words. It has emotion in it.

"Elisa's diary" and "Free as confetti" are different because the stories have very different genres one is poetry and the other is realistic fiction an example is "Words free as confetti" has many symalies. Another reason why the texts are different is that in words free as confetti its just a narrator saying the words but in Elisa's Diary it is characters speaking the words."speaking is one thing and writing is another" this is an example of felling in "Elisa's Diary" personally we (me and Brandon) think "Words free as confetti" has no feeling they just talk about words. Our final reason why the texts are different is that Elisa's Diary actually shows the characters going through their life and learning English.Words free as confetti just jumps into everything and it has no characters or backstory whatsoever. Now all of this summarizes both stories as stories that make you feel what bilingual people had to go through to learn two languages.
