The social justice issue of reproductive rights is a relevant issue in the United States due to the overturning of Roe v Wade. Meaning their is no constitutional protection of the right to abortion. Allowing states to adopt laws on how abortion and reproductive care should be decided. The social justice of reproductive rights is the ability for women have control over the decision to have children, and what to do with their body. The issue of reproductive rights effects many women, especially those in poverty seeking reproductive aid. Some are unable to go to a state that can provide proper reproductive care and do it legally. This matters as women are having unwanted children without support from the government. And losing control over their own bodies. This matters as it puts many women at risk for an unstable life for themselves and for this child leaving both very vulnerable and unstable. Not just economically but in their health as well.

Due to the supreme courts ruling of the right to abortion being not guaranteed in the constitution. I doubt any significant progress would be made pushing for a national bill in the higher courts. Instead the only step forward is to make sure that your elected officials believe in and protect the right of reproductive freedoms. You must fight for what you believe in and make sure your representatives will too.
