Their culture, including speaking and writing, was influenced by Africa.</p><p><strong>What I Want To Know</strong> - How does Beyonce fit into this framework of women who carried over the ability to speak, advocate, and express resistance against certain things?&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What I Learned </strong>- It’s important to also look at African women’s experiences, backgrounds, and pasts and not just the “facts”, artifacts, and technical stuff. Also, when looking at how literacy contributes to social change, we should see it not just as a label but as something with a deeper meaning.</p>]]></description>
