For our community service I suggested it was a good idea to go to our elementary school and help pick up trash all around the school and parks. I wanted to do this because it is a good way to give back to our community and help out the school administrators and janitors. After we finished I felt proud of myself for taking a step to help out in the community. It also felt good to know that we could help someone out with the money we got from the cans and the bottles. We did face several obstacles when planning out, but worked through them all to get our final plan. I learned that it is good to take time, even if it is a couple of hours, to give back and do something nice for your community.

We decided to go and pick up trash at Plavan Elementary school and the parks surrounding it. We wanted to help out with staff that works there by not only making their job easier but by also keeping their school environment cleaner. It was a fun experience and it helped me learn that giving back to the community is a very important thing, even if it's something small.

We decided to spend our time for the volunteering project picking up litter at Plavan and other parks close by. After we finished collecting all our trash we sat on the grass at Plavan, dumped all our trash and organized it into trash and recyclables. It was an eye opening experience because when we got the money which was only a couple of bucks we donated it to a homeless man we saw passing by. he was grateful although it was barely any cash compared to us. I would love to do this again and help out with the community.

For our volunteer project we decided to go pick up trash from Plavan and parks around it. We then organized the trash and recycled the trash for money, which we then gave to a homeless man. We did this because this was our old school and it gave us so much so we wanted to give back to it and do something good for it. We faced a few obstacles when planning what to do, we had multiple ideas but none of them really worked out. We kept calling many schools to see how we could be of help but none of them would let us because we were not 18. It felt great to give back to the place we spent most of our childhood. On the last day, while we were there 2 boys saw us cleaning up the trash and helped get trash to us while we were sorting it out. It was actually really fun and I think I will definitely start volunteering more.

Our plan

Our plan was to go at least once a week to Plavan and the parks around Plavan and pick up trash. We then organized the trash and recycled the bottles and cans. We took the money we got from recycling and we gave it to a homeless man. We cleaned our elementary's community and we helped out a homeless man. Jenna's mom helped us by driving us to the recycling center and our parents took us to Plavan and back home.

We went to Plavan once every week for 3 weeks, an hour and a half each. We went to the recycling center on the last day with all our collected trash from the past 3 weeks. We used gloves and trash bags.
