This activity is when you use string and cups to make a telephone and talk through the cups as if you were on the phone. Factors that will enhance this activity is when creating the telephone get the children involved in making it. This will ensure they're engaged. They will get to ask questions on how to make it and what to do. The practitioner should give positive reinforcement about the children's engagement. This will help them to remain focus and enjoy what they're doing. Also, once the craft is done they will get to talk and listen through the telephone which helps with their talking and listening skills. The practitioner's should also do this activity in a smaller group to make sure each child is having a turn to interact. Another factor is the practioner should lead by example to show how this activity works. This supports children's learning development with their listening and speaking because they ask questions and learn how to engage in this activity. There should be an appropriate environment for the children as well as practioner to take part in this activity. For example the room should have alot of space.
WHO AM I ?
Is a guessing game where players use yes or no question to guess the identity of a famous person or any character. The game can take as little as ten to fifteen minutes if player take turn, the game lasts longer. To enchance the activity I would make it a small activity groups so every child get the opportunity to take part of the game. Each child takes a turn with the other child asking yes or no questions, until the player with te sticky note or card guesses the identity of the famous person. I would encourage children to move throughout the room , mingling and asking each other question.
