It was originally set as this date to honor the end of WWI but since then it has become a day to honor and thank all the men and women who have fought to defend our country. My grandfather served in the air force as an engineer in Pakistan for, and my grandfather's brother was a colonel in the air force for Pakistan. He was a Grenadier First Class - which means he was the guy responsible for carrying and shooting a grenade launcher. That's a very serious job! He came home about a month ago, and is now attending college after serving 4 years in the Army. His college is subsidized, or paid for, by laws that support veterans once they arrive home. He signed up for the 
service to keep the family tradition going. He enjoys flying and loves that 
He can make and bake cookies on the plane. When he was in boot camp
he had to do a survival training for three days and his mistake for the three
days was, he ate all his food on the first day. Now he is very careful to portion
his food to last him longer than three days. I am so proud of Justin and I let 
He knows this every Tuesday when he calls me. Right now, he is overseas, we 
don’t know where because he can’t tell us. Justin just became a unit sergeant. 
This is his 8th year in the Air Force. He has signed up for another 8 years.
Justin is engaged and the date is set for November of 2021.
