<title>Tampa Child Welfare Activist Jonathan Yob by Jonathan Yob</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/jonathanyob/about</link>
<description>A resident of Tampa, Florida, Jonathan Yob is an avid philanthropist who is committed to efforts related to the welfare of children. For the last eight years, Mr. Yob has served as the president of the Yob Family Foundation (YFF). Through the YFF, he has worked to improve the lives of the region’s most underserved children. As a founding member of Kids Charity of Tampa Bay, Jonathan Yob played a leadership role in conceptualization and successful execution of the launch of A Kid’s Place in Brandon, Florida, a home for abused and neglected children that now sets the standard for similar shelters throughout the state. The Yob Family Foundation continues to support activities at A Kid’s Place, the latest example being another large fundraising campaign in partnership with the AT&amp;T Pioneers. A Kid&#39;s Place has aided thousand of abused and neglected children since its inception.
In addition to the efforts to help children, the YFF also supports a wide range of nonprofits and community organizations. For example, the YFF has supported a number of educational and recreational events for children, which includes its ongoing sponsorship of interactive exhibits at Zoo Tampa and The Florida Aquarium, which offers the &quot;Journey to Madagascar&quot; exhibit.
Following a visit to Madagascar, Mr. Yob was inspired to recreate the experience in Tampa. During this period, The Florida Aquarium was also planning to develop a wildlife exhibit. Mr. Yob partnered with the team at the aquarium to create a new exhibit, &quot;Journey to Madagascar,&quot; which features chameleons, geckos, ring-tailed lemurs, and hissing cockroaches. The exhibit, which possesses a distinctive mosaic in the entryway, is designed to transport visitors to the jungle of Madagascar, where they can view wildlife up close.
