Argentina is easily the most European nation in Latin America. Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina has many European influences to it. According to Annie Dale from Berkeley, walking around the streets of Buenos Aires is different from normal Latin America. It’s very European and is often called the Paris of Latin America because of its similarities (Dale, Annie. "JYAN Blog A Blending of European and Latin American Influences in Buenos Aires."). Instead of sombreros and bright colored traditional clothing they wear in other parts of Latin America, European styles are more common and the trace of European influence is huge.

Argentina and the EU have very close relations. In 1990, Argentina became an official trading partner with the EU (Argentina and the EU.). Because of the free trade between Europe and Argentina they have cheaper access to European goods, therefore, more people will buy the European goods in Argentina than any other Lat. American country.

Argentina has a different culture from most of Latin America. In Argentina, they have a culture of guachos. Guachos are cowboys in the Argentinian countryside and are typically mestizos. The cowboy culture of Argentina isn’t very similar to most of Latin America because it came about because of the Spanish. Also, the Argentinians have made the tango. The tango has roots back to Europe, although it does contain a little bit of indigenous culture ("Culture of Argentina." Countries and their Cultures). With the cowboys and the tango Argentina is a mix of Latin America and Europe
