The tenth item on my canon is the vampire diaries. The vampire diaries was also based off of a book. In the vampire diaries, the two main characters are brothers and vampires. They are constantly fighting over a girl named Elena who eventually also turns into a vampire.

Fear is the next show on my list. Fear is a reality horror tv show. In this show, people are taken to places that are said to be haunted and they are given challenges to help them decide if it is haunted or not. According to flavorwire.com, "

4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

The next item on my list is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about a girl (& some others) who fight vampires and 'slay' them. This show has been around since 1997 & people still enjoy watching it today. According to theatlantic.com, "As a result hundred of scholarly books and articles have been written about Buffy’s deeper themes, and an entire academic journal and conference series." This show created such an impact on even books and articles and that is why it is number 4 on my canon.

3. American Horror Story

The third classic horror tv show is American Horror Story. This show is different than the rest because each season has a group of different characters & a different plot. It first aired in 2011 & since then others have taken a spin on this idea. Imdb states that American Horror Story is "An anthology series that centers on different characters and locations." This idea has been used by many other tv shows, not only in the horror genre. American Horror Story is number 3 on my list because of this original idea.

2. Supernatural

The second show that I added to my canon is Supernatural. Supernatural is a show where two brothers work together to take on and kill off supernatural things. Some of these include vampires, demons, reapers, and ghosts. Screenrant.com states that " It’s a deceptively simple premise — one that’s helped to make supernatural the longest-running horror TV series of all time." Supernatural was first aired in 2005 and is still being filmed today. There are currently 12 season and a 13th season is being filmed. Supernatural is number 2 on my list because it is the longest running horror tv show.

The first classic horror tv show on my canon is Twilight Zone. According to imdb, Twilight Zone is a show where "ordinary people find themselves in extraordinarily astounding situations, which they each try to solve in a remarkable manner." Twilight Zone is also the first majorly popular horror tv show. The first episode of Twilight Zone aired in 1959 and the last episode aired in 1964. Since twilight zone was the first major horror tv show, it definitely deserves to be on the classics list.
