Students will read the book “Because You Chose Kindness" by Jenna Bate on the story Jumper website and then create their own storybook on how they can be kind in their everyday life.

SWBAT use basic writing skills to create a sequence of pages that show different ways to be kind.

SWBAT participate in peer sharing by reading their kindness books to classmates or family members.

After reading the book "Because You Chose Kindness" by Jenna Bate, follow the directions below to make your very own kindness book!

Students will need to have at least 5 pages

• Add at least 7 props, at least two of which are people

• Does not need to include voice 

• Add sound effects on at least two pages

• Include themselves in the story (make a character that looks like them)

• Gives 3  examples on how they can be kind in their everyday life

• Be creative! Add new backgrounds and color
