Equipment:
•Bunsen burner
•Test Tube
•Straw
•Beaker
•Water
•Rubber stopper
•Test tube holder

Set up:
We place a rubber stopper on the test tube. After it's placed we stick a straw in the rubber stopper so the end of the straw is in the test tube. We used the test tube holder to hold the test tube with the straw horizontally. Then we pour water into the beaker and place the filled beaker under the test tube with the straw. The front end of the straw must be in the water. After the everything is set up, we place a bunsen burner under the horizontal test tube.

Hypothesis:
When the test tube is heated up by the bunsen burner will the straw suck up the water.

What happened:
When we heated up the test tube, something happened that we didn't expect.
When we heated the test tube up, the straw made the water bubble instead of sucking it up. But when we turned off the bunsen burner, the straw gradually started to suck up the water.

Results:
When the test tube is heated up instead of the straw sucking up the water it just made the water bubble. But when it cooled the straw sucked up the water.
