         <description><![CDATA[<div>Timeline:<br>In 1812, Charles Dickens was born on February 7th to John and Elizabeth Dickens.<br>In 1824, his father was arrested and cast into a debtors prison, resulting in Charles Dickens having to work at the Warren's Blacking Factory.<br>In 1827, he rejoined the workforce as the clerk of an attorney.<br>In 1830, he met Maria Beadnell, his first love interest.<br>In 1833, his relationship with Beadnell ended.<br>In 1834, he started using the nickname "Boz". He also met his future wife Catherine Hogarth that same year.<br>In 1835, he became engaged to Catherine Hogarth.<br>In 1836, he ended up marrying Catherine Hogarth.<br>In 1837, his first child is born with the name of Charles Culliford Boz Dickens. In the same year, Mary Hogarth who is Catherine's sister dies. That same year, publication of Oliver Twist began.<br>In 1838, his daughter Mary was born.<br>In 1839, his daughter Kate was born.<br>In 1841, Charles and Catherine toured Scotland and their son Walter was born.<br>In 1842, Charles and Catherine travel to America and later in 1842 or early the next year Dickens began to work on Martin Chuzzlewit<br>In 1843, A Christmas Carol is published.<br>In  1844, his son Francis was born and after that Dickens and his family travelled to Italy.<br>In 1845, another son called Alfred was born.<br>In 1846, Dickens and his family travelled to Switzerland.<br>In 1847, his son Sydney is born.<br>In 1848, Dickens' sister Fanny dies. The Haunted Man, his last Christmas book was published.<br>In 1849, Henry Fielding Dickens is born. Publication of David Copperfield begins.<br>In 1850, his daughter Dora Dickens is born.<br>In 1851, Dickens' father dies and Dora Dickens dies when she is 8 months old.<br>In 1858, he separated from Catherine Hogarth.<br> In 1860, his daughter  Katie marries and 10 days later, his brother Alfred dies. Dickens burnt his personal papers.<br>In 1863, Dickens' mother dies.<br>In 1864, his son Walter dies in India.<br>In 1865, Dickens is involved in the Staplehurst railway accident along with Ellen Ternan and her mother.<br>In 1867, Dickens tours America for the second time.<br>In 1870, he dies on June 9th in Higham, therefore leaving his novel, The mystery of Edwin Drood unfinished.<br>In that year he gave his final public reading.
