An elusive beast has been running amok since 1995, killing livestock at night and leaving farmers bewildered by morning. The Chupacabra ( which is Spanish for "goat-sucker") is described as a 4 foot, bipedal creature with red glowing eyes, scaly grey skin, and spikes running down its back. Since its first appearance in Puerto Rico, the chupacabra has been spotted throughout Central America and later in North America. It has been known to prey upon goats, chickens and other animals on rural farms, apparently sucking all the blood from its prey and leaving the bodies intact.

Ancient Wisdom

Stones carved by the Mayans in Palenque, Mexico show an unearthly creature whose features are quite alike to the description of the Chupacabra. These sketches were produced after eye-witness sightings of the strange beast. The Chupacabra being an example of Ancient Wisdom corresponds with the drawings made by an ancient civilization that started to die out around 900 A.D. ( See "Mayan Stones" link)

Scientists have been unable to determine what kind of animal would drink all the blood of an animal and leave its carcass behind. Eye-witnesses have never said that they’ve seen the alleged Chupacabra strike; they only see the damage once it becomes daylight. This is an example of unexplained. No doubt when a wolf is either driven out of its habitat or fallen weaker, it’s going to eat easier prey , which are the fenced in farm animals that have nowhere to run or hide. The theory that these mange ravaged coyotes are attacking fenced in livestock can make sense yet why would a coyote just drink the animals blood? Investigator Benjamin Radford claims in his book "Tracking the Chupacabra" claims that  the reports of blood being sucked were never confirmed during necropsies, which was the only way to see if the attacked animal was drained of blood. A  veterinarian analyzed  300 reported attacked animals of the elusive beast yet proved they hadn't been bled dry.  Could it be that these manged animals are so confused with their instinct to hunt that they just crave the blood? Or perhaps they are dealing with dehydration that all they want is blood? Due to the fact that no one has witnessed an actual chupacabra attacking livestock and draining its blood would be the Unexplained belief as we have no actual evidence as to what is behind the attacks.         Another assumption as to why an animal would drink the blood of mammals comes from how the Vampire /Werewolf legend came about. Humans suffering from the blood disorder porphyria will result with scarce heme (the iron-containing core for hemoglobin) and will become intolerant to light, have their fingernails recede and eventually suffer from a mild hysteria  to full blown delirium which can cause people to perform beastly attacks. Perhaps these coyotes are experiencing more afflictions from the mange, which would make them go insane with itching and have them prey on easier targets. ( See "Porphyria" video)

 
Agenticity

A rather chilling theory comes from debunked psychic Sylvia Brown, saying that Chupacabras are real and are sent to earth to gather blood which obtains information that the UFO’s can study. (How aliens can get info from the blood off the Chupacabra from a goat sounds questionable to me.) 

 Due to the paranoia of Chupacabras, people are going after wildlife and  capturing defenseless animals, claiming that the animal is a  chupacabra, when really the animal is a sick/ hairless mutation( see "8 Mysterious Chupacabra Sightings" about the raccoon).

The most widely believed explanation is that the "goat-sucker" is the product of genetics experiments in the rainforest of Puerto Rico that are funded by U.S. government and kept top-secret. ( There have been known labs in Puerto Rico that experimented on monkeys from a different continent that were released out into the wild).  This is an example of Agenticity as conspirists have theorized that the government is hiding this creature from the public to avoid world-wide terror. 

Another assumption I have is that farmers are purposely killing their livestock to get compensation from the government.  Some sort of machine must have been used to create puncture wounds in the animals and sucked of blood or the farmer punctured them with a tool, let them bleed out into a bucket and then place them back in the yard. Also, if their animals were being attacked, why didn’t the farmers go out to see what was going on if their livestock were crying?

The History Channel's paranormal documentary depicts an “authentic” Chupacabra hunter and zoologist setting up traps to find the animal. There many biases and beliefs made about this program, especially whether it is factual or just purely made up. Faults in their experiment are as follows:

Another skeptical point of view is that when the first account of the Chupacabra was made was right after the movie Species came out to theatres. One character was reptilian like with scaly skin, big eyes and spikes down her back. Could this account be false, and instead just made up with a made up character from a movie?
