Each collage contains something in which represents the human identity. Those symbols carry on a meaning of self-identification and tell stories of their own. Simpson is not afraid to make art in which can speak upon human ideology, but doesn't forget the beauty of the human body itself. take for example this piece. One of which according to the SAAM (Smithsonian American Art Museum) believes it: 

"... compels viewers to realize that any judgment about this woman will be based on incomplete information, on assumptions rather than on a true understanding of this individual."
