I agree with Gabriella's decision to confront her colleague, albeit with reservations about her approach. While it's commendable that she addressed the issue of cultural insensitivity and inappropriate behavior, her method of publicly challenging her colleague may have been counterproductive. By sandwiching her critique between positive remarks, she demonstrated diplomatic communication skills, but she could have chosen a more private setting to avoid embarrassment and maintain professionalism. However, her willingness to address uncomfortable topics reflects strong leadership qualities, indicating her commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment.

She is also trying to adapt herself with her new environment, as well as her team work also trying to adapt with their new leader.

I completely agree with the way Gabriella reacted to the problem she had. Gabriella was still doing her maximum efforts when she was confused about her situation by asking the person she trusted, even though that was not enough to solve her problems. With her ideas left, she was still able to manage her leadership methods with her team through an open discussion until she realized that she experienced something called cultural clash in expectation. If I were Gabriella, I would do the same thing to adapt and made adjustments to her management style.

If I were Gabriela, I would first take the time to learn about the cultural differences between Brazil and Sweden, particularly in terms of management styles and expectations. Then, I would initiate open conversations with my team to understand their perspectives and concerns. Based on this understanding, I would adapt my management approach to better suit the preferences of my team members while still effectively leading and achieving our goals. Additionally, I would seek guidance and support from my manager, and possibly undergo training or coaching to enhance my cross-cultural leadership skills.

If I were Gabriella, as a leader it is natural to feel cultural differences when moving to another country, and as a leader it is also necessary to be able to solve problems carefully. So I also agree with what Gabriella did as a leader when she felt the difference in her leader's style, she had a conversation with her team work to talk about what she felt and what her team work felt, so that there could be good collaboration so that the work done would run well because the communication was good.

I agree with what she did and maybe I will follow her way of dealing with problems if I face the same situation.Because in terms of leadership we need to understand our subordinates well so that the team can run well. And adaptation also needs to be done like Gabriella did if our environment is different. Therefore, teamwork is very necessary in the world of work, so that goals can be achieved

I agree with Gabriela on overcoming the culture clash challenges she encountered in Sweden. Initially, it must have been her frustration and confusion when she was met with a new cultural context that was very different from her previous experience in Brazil. By starting an open dialog with her team and she listened to the perspectives of her co-workers. And if I were Gabriela, I would do the same as she did to adjust the culture of her work management and her team.

I agree with gabriella act to adapt in her new work environment, especially if we become manager, we will meet new people with different behavior, different work ways, culture. We should adapt in that situation, because we are profesionals workers, thats not around us need to adapt with us, but we also need to adapt. And every work there’s always be problem and our job as manager to solve that as group, and one thing for sure comunicate between workers and manager need to be clear and agree with one voice so they can work more efficient, and achieve their goals

If I were Gabriella, I would agree with what she did. Being transferred to a workplace where the way of working is different from what I used to do at first, of course I would also feel strange. I would first try to introspect myself and then learn how the team members work. But as a manager position, of course, you are more experienced and should try to understand your team members better, you can't just conclude that they don't respect you. And the key to solving problems is communication, so Gabriella's initiative by opening up a conversation is very great, they can find out and adapt to each other's way of working and solve the problem of cultural differences in the workplace.

I agree with Gabriela's approach in addressing the cultural clash within her team. She demonstrated a commendable level of self-awareness by recognizing the differences in management styles between her previous high power distance culture in Brazil and the low power distance culture of her team in Sweden. Taking the initiative to open a dialogue with her team about their feelings regarding her leadership showcased her commitment to understanding their perspectives. This communication allowed for a mutual exchange of insights, fostering a collaborative environment. Gabriela's ability to adapt her management style based on the cultural context highlights her flexibility and willingness to meet the expectations of her team. Ultimately, this approach facilitated a more effective working relationship, emphasizing the importance of cultural awareness and communication in navigating diverse professional environments.
