TA is the younger brother of Jeffrey Anderson. He has light brown hair and blue eyes. He comes from a rich family. He goes to the Christian Boys School "Welton". He is "the new kid", is mugged at first - which makes him very anxious. He feels that he has to "fill out" his brothers shoes. He is afraid to read out loud. The story takes place at school Welton Academy. John Keating is the main character of the movie, he is an English teacher.
Keating is a round static character and he can be described as an unconventional teacher, with different teaching methods. He is intelligent, strong personality, smart.
He is passionate for life, sensitive and determined.
His attitudes towards other people are reliable, sincere, open and he questions the students a lot about life and identity.

Hints about the movies outcome: Yes, because Neil is very determined guy and he know what he wants in life. When he doesn´t want to tell his father about his feelings and he goes to his room and opens the window, we know something bad is going to happen.

Setting of the movie: The movie takes place in Welton Academy, New England, US in 1959.

Symbolism: Flags ( US, school), candles ( hope), snow ( innocence)

Antithesis: The other teachers and there way of seing life and methods of teaching are completly strict and different.

"Carpe Diem": Enjoy your day, make your life extraordinary. Change the student´s way of seeing life, thinking and behaving to make life worth, giving life a meaning.

In the end he is clever in a negative way, he uses his brain to trick others. He finks about others. So he is naiv and a coward as well. He is easy to convince, he was the only one who finked about the Dead Poets Society.
Outer: He has red hair, and he is not as high as the other boys.
