         <description><![CDATA[<div>Each village had a village council. Each village council selected a chief. A chief served for life. In olden times, women had no say in government. &nbsp;<br>&nbsp; Lets move on to religion, religion was part of everyday life for the Sioux. They believed everything had a spirit.The Sioux were good hunters, but they also needed to trade for some other necessities. The Sioux traded buffalo parts and meat for corn and other plants, mostly from their cousin tribes like Mandan Hidatsa.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The weather in the Plains was dynamic.  Sixteen to seventeen inches was the average summer rainfall.  The growing season was June to August.  In the winter the snow was either heavy or medium.  The average temperature in winter was 23 degrees below zero. So lets talk about if they were peacfull In the spring of 1868 a conference was held at Fort Laramie, in present day Wyoming, that resulted in a treaty with the Sioux. This treaty was to bring peace between the whites and the Sioux who agreed to settle within the Black Hills reservation in the Dakota Territory so they were kinda peacfull.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The food that the Sioux tribe ate included the meat from all the animals that were available to hunt: Buffalo, deer, elk, bear and wild turkey.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Absolute Location of the Dakota Native Americans is in the Dakotas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Montana, also A little bit of Canada. They lived In those places because they they relied on the meat of the animals that lived there and even a little bit of harvest.
