  Lets move on to religion, religion was part of everyday life for the Sioux. They believed everything had a spirit.The Sioux were good hunters, but they also needed to trade for some other necessities. The Sioux traded buffalo parts and meat for corn and other plants, mostly from their cousin tribes like Mandan Hidatsa.

These were served with roots and wild vegetables such as spinach, and potatoes and flavored with wild herbs.  Sioux clothing was both "functional and beautiful".  The clothes were made by elk skin, deer skin and tanned buffalo hide.

They particularly liked to trade buffalo hides and meat to tribes like the Arikara in exchange for corn.
