I'm currently hooked by this book! The way Robin Stevens builds the suspense is amazing! So far two of the girls are finding one of the characters very suspicious but don't know how to say or what it is  . . . 
I'm not going to say anything else because well that would spoil it.

I am really enjoying this book because it shows you that you just have to believe and you can achieve anything you want. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is part of a 17 part series; this is the ninth in the series. This is one of those books that when you pick it up, you don’t want to put it down!

In this book, Greg and his family go out on holiday and the car journey seems like forever! Once they’re at the county fair, they look at some of the activities. Greg’s older brother, Rodrick and Greg take their youngest brother Manny to the game where you try to guess the weight of a goat. They guess correctly and they win a piglet that they now have to take responsibility of! They didn’t know that this was the prize and they didn’t know what to do with it, so they had to keep the pig with them for the rest of the journey.

I found this book really fun to read and I was hooked after reading the first chapter. I wasn't keen at first but I loved it after the first couple chapters I read. I was very sad when this book came to an end and I just wanted to keep reading.

This book is about a girl who wants to be a detective and she is on a trial to become one. But then, when she and her brother are walking back from the cinema they notice that there are many police outside the museum and they go to ask what's going on. The police tell them and Agatha really wants to investigate the scene as it would be her first big case. Her brother tells her not to but she goes round the back of the building and enter that way

George, Robin and Amber are in a secret group called the Midnight Gang. Sally never joins in with their adventures because she is too sick. Matron supervises the childrens ward, even though she hates children. She is very mean. Tom was desperate to join the Midnight Gang but they wouldn’t let him. He decided to follow them to see what they were up to. He promised Sally to tell her all about his adventure. 

The Midnight Gang get up to all sorts of things to going into the Hospital Freezer to running away with the porter.

My favourite character is George because he is very funny.

The book starts out with the prologue- a man named Hillager has been sent out to the Borneo Jungle by this Mysterious 'Duke' (which reminded me of the Duke in 'Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud').

I have only started this book very recently, and it has already got me hooked! So far, Mycroft has visited the Holmes Manor, where Amyus Crowe and Sherlock are met by the eerie housekeeper Mrs. Eglantine.

I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who has read books like Young Sherlock Holmes or the normal Sherlock Holmes. This book is suitable for older children, as it is based on a game that is aimed at teenagers. I give this book a 10/10 as I love the way the book looks and feels. They are all about food and each story includes a  recipe. 
The first one is called Banana Smoothie!  This is about a lazy spider who lies in his web all day while his family work hard and make food. One day his family get very annoyed with him because he never helps them so his wife says he has to go and get food for his family and he can not come home until he can feed them all. He tricks a rat into giving him bananas by flattering him and he ends up with a banana for each member of his family except himself. When he gets home he tricks his children into them giving him half of their bananas but his wife stops them and uses all the bananas to make a banana smoothie for each of them so it is a fair share. 

The second story is called Trolls' Porridge.  It is about a family of a dad and three children, the older son, the middle son and the youngest son.  Each son tries to collect firewood from the forest but they are stopped by scary trolls.  Only the youngest son manages to succeed by tricking the troll into killing himself so he can take all of the trolls treasure. He brings the treasure home and him and his family are very pleased. They respect him very much and they enjoy being rich.  

The third story is called The Smell of Almond Cookies. In my opinion, it is set in China or Japan and is about a poor family who are treated disrespectfully by a greedy, mean baker.  The baker tries to charge them 5 coins for smelling his cookies. The poor girl takes him to court and the judge makes it fair. A kind man gives the girl a job in his restaurant so she will be able to have food and money for her family.

Out of these three stories, my favourite is Trolls' Porridge because I found it more fun to read. My second favourite is Banana Smoothie and my least favourite is The Smell of Almond Cookies.
