Reflect on how you felt at the beginning of the year compared to now

From the beginning of the school year to now, I have felt a wide range of mixed emotions. I was too caught up in my feelings to understand that school was never that deep to not like. There have always been bad days and good days. School has given me many mixed emotions with friends, boys, and teachers. I felt the same way a normal kid would feel going into sphomore year of high school nervous yet excited and mostly dreading to start school again. But throughtout the classes that i first walked into for the school year i slowly realized that i would end up sorta liking the school year. Not because of the work or because of the boring times of looking at the work noone wanted to to becuase i knew that bothe the kid in my classes and the teachers would make it a fun school year.

Describe a project, topic, or assignment you're especially proud of.

A topic I'm especially proud of is biology. It was boring, of course, but that was because I wasn't paying attention. When I gave it a serious chance, I realized I liked the class. Learning about the different types of organelles and what a mitochondria was and what an enzyme was i was actually enjoying it. Of course it was dreading to go into that class only to get yelled at becuase i didnt know what a specific thing was but it was fun going back in time allitle to only realize that Mr, Suarez was only pushing up to our fullest potential.

Write a brief review of a book or text you read this year that impacted you

A book that impacted me was the notebook, it showed me the true meaning of true love. It was sad and of course a tearing up book but it showed me that love is a beautiful thing. With Allie and Noah what they had was beatuiful. Of course it was sad to see allie with a different man but it was beautiful to see that Noah never gave up on her when she went away. It showed me that true love is a thing not because of the jesturs that noah did but because it showed that even thought they were miles apart from eachother that he never gave up on her. And the fact that he bulit her dream house after the war was even more meaningful

Reflect on a personal or academic challenge

A personal challenge was giving myself discipline. Disciplining the human mind can be tough or even challenging for most people. But I did it. I gave myself discipline for my biology class, although it didn't work out. I studied and studied and studied for that EOC. Did I pass? No, I was 4 points away from passing it, but it showed me in a way that I can do stuff that I put my mind to.

A song that inspired me this year was Fire and Desire by Drake. What this song taught me was that it's okay to take time to heal from what relationship you've just come out of. Love is a beautiful thing, but falling out of it with someone who gets you and loves you for who you are, for your weirdness and your craziness, is one of the hardest things someone can go through. This song highlights that healing and shows how to learn to value what you have in the moment. You never know when that true love can leave you and leave you heartbroken.

Reflect on your hopes for junior year and beyond.

I hope to get good grades the entire school year, get new friends, and be true to myself. Genuinely thinking of it, Junior year is scary because what if my teachers are rude and just mean for no reason? But I hope that junior year teaches me good lessons and bad lessons. I hope I have good learning experiences and bad ones. And I hope that I pass my driver's test to get my permit. And a current song that can reflect my current mindset is Back and Forth by Lil baby.
