the rules off chess are simple: make it so wherever the king shall move, it shall die. checkmate is what they call it. we have first of all: the king! the king can move one space at a time, make sure your king is safe from thy enemy. the queen can move any direction, it cant however move over any other chess pieces. next we have the bishop, the bishop may only move ''oblique'' and can only attack like that. next up we have the horse, also known as the knight. the knight may only move 2 steps in one direction and then 1 step east or south of the direction he was going, fun fact: he can go over other pieces.

next we have thy tower, also known as the rook, he can only go north east south west. of course he can move endlessly that way.
last and actually least. the pawn. he can move two spaces in the beginning, how he moves is north from your perspective. later he can only move one space. but the pawn has very special attack movements, he can only attack ''oblique'' wich could be quite annoying. those where all the chess pieces
