I absolutely love Disney Channel. I have always been a Zendaya fan and was a bit sad when the final KC Undercover episode aired.
The article talks about how her career evolution. This made me think of the Career Evolution Stages mentioned in Chapter 1. At the beginning of her career she did cameos on some shows, which was her exploration phase. She established her self in the Disney show "Shake it Up" and evolved into being the star of her own show "KC Undercover." Her career continues to grow as she is starring in movies, such as The Greatest Showman, evolved in fashion and makeup, and she is pursuing her passion for music. I hope that her decline is due to her retirement and not lack of productivity in the future.

Managers have many different responsibilities. They have ensure they are being effective and efficient. This image made me think about how a manager can get feedback from their employees about how they are doing. Sometimes in organizations managers do not want to know if they are being effective or doing a good job. I also thought it was funny because the sign is something you normally see on trucks, not people.

Groups within an organization can be formal or informal. Informal groups can be a good thing within an organization. It allows people to feel more comfortable in their work environment and can make communication among the group easier. Sometimes informal groups can become a bad thing if they cause division within the organization, as this cartoon demonstrates. As a manager, it is imperative to acknowledge that these groups exist and understand how and why they were formed, so that situations like below, can be avoided.

There has been no correlation between profits and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Some organizations participate only as much as legally required by them. I chose this cartoon because other than the legal requirements, CSR has become a trend. Organizations put the time and money into it because they believe it will yield more profits. This is due to the fact that consumers tend to follow organizations that show they care about their community.

People often agree, when they may actually disagree, because they do not want to "stir the pot." I found this cartoon interesting because it exemplifies that. There are some obstacles that can appear when going through the delegating process. One that I have encountered often is micro-managing. I would compare this to the centralization topic discussed in the text. I like this cartoon because it is the extreme version of micro-managing and it is inefficient.
