Suppose we are going to have pizza for lunch again next week. Mdm Lam will be ordering 10 boxes of 6" Personal Pizza and 10 boxes of 12" Large Pizza. You can only choose to eat either three slices from a small pizza (6") or two slices from a large pizza (12").

Which option would you choose in order for you to eat more pizza? :) Yummy yummy!

6" Personal Pizza:

Area of Sector for a piece of 6" Pizza

=90 / 360 * 3.142 * 3 * 3

=7.0695cm2.

Area of Sector of 3 pieces of 6"Pizza

=7.0695 * 3

=21.2085cm2

=21.2cm2(3s.f)

12" Large Pizza:

Area of Sector for a piece of 12" Pizza

=45 / 360 * 3.142 * 6 * 6

=14.139cm2.

Area of Sector of 2 pieces of 12" Pizza

=14.139 * 2

=28.278cm2.

=28.3cm2(3s.f)

We will choose to eat two slices from a 12" Pizza.

I have learnt about a area of sector of pizza.

My thoughts on the above activity are I can

know how many pieces of pizza I can eat if i

do the area of sector.

I have learnt about area of sector of how to count the angle and the length of the pizza. I also learnt about finding the circumference , arc and sector.

The activity can let me challenge myself and think out of box and solve difficult questions in future.
