Do you think older people are treated well in your society? In some cases I do believe that older people are treated well in our society as the younger generation do help old people. For example, if the younger people are sat down on a bus and an elderly is stood up due to no seats left, the young will offer their seat to them. Moreover, the younger generation will open doors for the elderly and potentially ask if they need help if they look like they’re struggling. On the other hand, I believe that sometimes old people are not treated well as there have been reports of the elderly being mugged, hit, and robbed. I feel as if the elderly are sometimes not treated with respect as they are seen as vulnerable and an easy target.

Do you think older people are treated well in your society?I feel most of the time they are, there are many residential homes, hospitals and doctors give them a lot of their time even if it is not required, and they are often respected as they have done a lot for our country. If elderly people need help most members of the public are willing to give up a bit of their time however sometimes it is out of pity, not respect. Furthermore, the elderly can be taken advantage of when it comes to money as they are naïve and can be quite trusting.

Do you think older people are treated well in our society?Older people are treated well in our society, they are always put first. Examples of this are specific seats to be given up for the elderly on the bus. Doctors and nurses spend as much time on them as they would a young child, and there are even homes specialised for the elderly to fit their needs, and make their life better. However, a lot of the time, we are made to feel bad for them, and we do these things because we have too, a lot of the time, we treat them well more out of pity than respect.

Elderly people tend to become lonely, so will want someone to keep them company and keep them from becoming depressed. As well as this elderly people may need some assistance with day to day life as they struggle to care for themselves physically. This may mean they struggle to medicate themselves, feed themselves and maintain their hygiene.
