         <description><![CDATA[<div>Through the poem 'No More Boomerang', Oodgeroo expresses her criticism towards the injustice endured by the Indigenous culture, to be forcefully submerged under the white civilisation. Through the use of diction, symbolism and repetition, the poet reinforces the commercialised and selfish nature of the newly civilised community while signifying the loss of a communal culture. <br><br>- This poem demonstrates forceful cultural assimilation- that the things the Aboriginal people once had (their tradition and hunting tools) get replaced by white people culture/traditions/customs.<br><br>- </div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
