Hello,

Its a great effort by DPS to connect with parents on a regular basis. Thank you for that.

However, I wanted to discuss an important perspective. I have noticed that only few students are getting opportunity to lead and present themselves on a larger forum. Same students who were selected in grade 1 for various roles are selected in Grade 2 again.

I know there is a selection process after which students are selected. My suggestion would be to give chance to other students as well. All kids are capable and are waiting for the right opportunity.

You can make these opportunities available on a rotational basis rather than having only few students fixed for position for the entire year. This will boost their confidence and make them leaders of tomorrow.

Please consider.

We teach our kids the importance of cleanliness, unfortunately that is not led by example by some parts of school.

Toilets are mostly not maintained well

Due to construction the whole patch leading from parking to new buildings is shaby

The sand park which was demolished earlier is become a dumping ground for everything- i hope construction finishes soon and you will restore the sand park or a similar space for kids

compared to CBSE, CAIE is not good in appreciating students. for example , appreciating students for 100% attendance in the first week of month would help motivate them.

please improve communication with parents. please define DPS communication hour ( for example 4pm -6pm) and post messages in that time window . it would help parents and teachers to manage their time well. sometimes we receive messages around 9 PM too. we don't check WhatsApp after 7pm.

I have noticed that kids were not ready for the assessments and they could not answer the questions which were to be asked in assessments. We had to sit and teach every bit of the syllabus again at home. Wondering are kids only taking notes in classroom or also understanding and learning things. From spellings to math concepts and most importantly speaking for 2 mins on a topic had to be taught by parents. I would like to bring this up and need a proper explanation on why parents have to teach kids instead of kids learning at school. Practice can be done at home but teaching concepts and spelling just before the assessments is something we need to be really worried about.

there is no encouragement or guidance from DPS side to help students borrow books from library. my son reads book at home and he wanted to borrow books from library but he does not know how. please educate students on the same.

Many of the kids are shy and need some helping hand from teacher to overcome their shyness like- encouraging them to participate in the events, making them to read some sentences and words infront of the class.
The kids might not be attentive and may miss listening to the class. Teacher asking questions to random kids after every class may be helpful.
For some of the events , only selected kids and parents are notified and are aware of those events. It would be great if the information is made transparent to all the parents.
For any competitions, the pattern and levels of competition should be shared and after initial level, selected students' information has to be sent to the participants which would be helpful.
Many times, the homework sheets or books are not being collected though asked. Making a note of kids who didn't submit and asking them would be helpful as the kid tends to be diverted and may not focus on what the teacher is asking except when asked in person.

Please conduct any and I mean any sports, singing, dancing, elocution etc activity for the kids. It doesn’t even need to be a competition. Let it be an activity for the class not even for the whole cambridge wing. Do something where they get to express their talents
