Hello everyone! My name is Maryann Ledbetter. I live in Columbia, MO. I graduated from Central Methodist University with my bachelors in education. I am certified to teach first-fourth grade. I currently just finished my first year of teaching in fourth grade at Higbee Elementary and enjoyed it very much! I teach at a very small school. We are a K-12 school with one section per grade. I really enjoy teaching at a small school because it allows me to be aligned with the grade below and above me better! I have a great team that I work with and cant imagine going to another school anytime soon!

I attached a picture of my team and I. These girls have helped me out so much with my first year of teaching!

From this class, I would really like to learn new ways to integrate technology into my classroom. The school I am at now, we have very limited technology, but next year we are planning on having more computers for the students to use. With this, I would like to be able to get my students more involved with technology and getting them more comfortable with using it. So from this class, i hope to learn new methods on how I can apply technology into my curriculum to help my students achieve more.

An interesting fact about myself that not many people know about yet is that I just found out a couple of weeks ago that I am expecting a bundle of joy in February! My husband and I couldn't be more excited! I currently have a step daughter that will be 9 in August, and she has been wanting a sibling forever so she is super excited that she will finally be a big sister! She is hoping that she will have a baby sister, but a healthy baby will be just perfect!

I have used a little bit of technology in my classroom. I have used typing club. My students really enjoy doing that and it helps a lot with them taking the MAP test! I have also used google docs. My students really like to type out their writing pieces. I hope to use technology more in my classroom. I think I would like to start having them do power points or even padlets and have them present more to the class with it. Throughout college, I had the opportunity to use technology quite often. I think one of my favorite tools that I learned about was a Weebly. I really enjoyed making one of them, and think it would be great to do with your students. I have alse
