<title>In the first 2 minutes of watching the video in a foreign language, I felt lost and confused. I was easily distracted and uncomfortable watching the movie because I could not understand what they were saying. Some adjectives that came to mind were; distracted, baffled, dazed, awkward, and confused. </title>

<title>My feelings for the movie never changed. I never really became interested like I wanted to keep watching. I think this is because of the language barrier. However, I kept thinking to myself about children in classrooms. We expect them to pay attention to us but in some cases, they can&#39;t understand what we are saying. Hence, they probably feel the same emotions I felt listening to a different language and trying to pay attention. </title>

<title>There were a few scenes in that I felt like I knew what was going on based on the emotions and reactions the actors were having. They used a lot of gestures and facial expressions showing their emotions through their facial expressions and their body language based on and reactions toward one another. </title>

<title>I think this was a good experiment to reflect on for the English learners in our classrooms. I was going to watch a movie in Spanish but I decided to go with Chinese because I know some Spanish. I wanted to get the full experience of what my students get that don&#39;t speak any language but their own. I feel sad because I felt lost trying to understand what was going on and knowing that these children are trying to learn academically and a new language is hard to comprehend on its own. In our classrooms, I think it&#39;s important to give the kids that are ELD learners more grace because they are not only just trying to keep up but simply understand the basics of what we expect of them. </title>
