         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="http://www.ashleigh-educationjourney.com/developing-fraction-number-sense/">http://www.ashleigh-educationjourney.com/developing-fraction-number-sense/</a><br><br><br>Even though this is an elementary lesson I would adapt it for my middle school students. My 8th grade students seem further away from understanding fractions than my 7th graders. I would give students shapes and have them break them up into fractional parts. Once students master that skill, I will give groups a shape broken up into unequal parts and ask them to work together to determine the fraction of each section.</div>]]></description>
