How do people with schizophrenia 'deal with' emotions'? <br></strong><br></div><div>According to the video, the region of the brain that deal with emotion of a person who has schizophrenia, responds poorly compared to those who have a normal brain. They will say "I lost the capacity to feel related to other people in the world, or even related to the world at all. <br><br><br></div><div><strong># 2. What are some of the *symptoms* of schizophrenia? (hint: there are positive and negative symptoms ~ what are they?)<br></strong><br></div><div>Some negative symptoms are not being able to feel any type of emotion at all, they only see emptiness and blackness. There is also a decrease in speech production, decrease sense of purpose. <br><br><br></div><div>Some positive symptoms are delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech. <br><br></div><div><strong># 3.  What are some 'other' symptoms of schizophrenia? (hint: hallucinations ~ there are two types ~ what are they?)<br></strong><br></div><div>There are visual and auditory hallucinations. <br><br><br></div><div><strong># 4. How are researchers working with psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia? Are some people doing 'better' with treatment? <br></strong><br></div><div>They are testing new drugs to help treat schizophrenia and also psychological treatments. Some people have progressed a little with the treatments, it varies by person. <br><br></div>]]></description>
