Extend: In a lot of previous wars you would loose your leg and quiet possibly your life, during the Vietnam war you lost your leg and lived, but in todays war's you can loose your leg and get a new one (prosthetic).

Extend: Losing moral on the american side would only lead to more death and further loss of moral. For the killed people of viet cong the loss of their people would only give them a further reason to fight and thus increase moral.

For instance, I read about a soldier who lost his leg but if given an opportunity he wouldn't even attempt to change the course of events because he found his quiet only having lost it.
Extend: The protests in 1970s are reminiscent of any modern day protests when different people differently interpret the protestants: the governments, in order to discredit them claim that the people protesting are simply rich cowards who are too scared to go to war. Others say that it's the vast majorities protesting. Numbers get misinterpreted often too. Canon.
