Chianina are a magnificent breed, carrying an immense amount of strength and power. Not only that, but they are created of a perfectly marbled, lean meat with minimal waste. Calving is always a breeze as they rarely have calving complications, birthing beautiful fawn colored babies. Their hard black hooves and immaculate build enables them to survive the harshest of climates. The breed is known not only for a high heat tolerance, but the resistance to pink eye, eye cancer, ticks, and parasites as well.

Their small udder veers from milk production, but the first four months after calving they average 3 gallons of milk a day. Their defined muscles and great health produces amazing cuts of beef. They have a trim build without excess dewlap and brisket with red marbled meat and not a lot of excess fat holding 65% carcass yield. They are usually sent to the rail at 16-18 months old.
