Also the Tet offensive was a major boost to the antiwar sentiment in America as it was a huge hit to the morale of soldiers and supporters of the war as this attack was unforeseen and led to many casualties, even though it was said to be a loss for the Viet Cong. As these antiwar sentiments grew, so did the protests behind them, leading to more people to join them in their movement.
