6. Colour also played a role in clothing, the richer brighter and deeper the colour the more it cost.

7. The Royalty wore crimson colours that could only obtained in insects blood from Mediterranean. 

8.  A laborer or peasant could not wear the clothes of the rich or wealthy people.

9. Wealthy people wore a lot of jewelry to show how rich they are.

10. In the Elizabethan era there was a rule that no matter how much money had, Elizabethan were not allowed to wear the clothes that they wanted to. It was called the “Statutes of Apparel” and was enforced by the Queen herself. The reason why this was a law was because she wanted everyone to maintain social structure. If you didn’t follow the law, some of the consequences were fine, loss of property, and even life.
