It supports the emergent literacy school-to-home relationship because it allows teachers to send home activities and videos that relate to what is going on in the classroom and allows parents to share in the responsibility when it comes to the development of their child. The second enable objective is to develop multi-domain early literacy activities for school-to-home. ReadyRosie creates activities that the parents and teachers can use that will help them help their children develop multi- domains some examples of activities are reading aloud, singing alphabet songs, incorporating literacy in play, creating a literacy-reach environment, engaging children in wordplay and developing reading routines, etc.

I chose ReadyRosie because it is a requirement for the teachers to participate in at my center, honestly, at first I thought it was just them trying to give the teachers more busy work and I thought the parents wouldn't want to participate. But once I signed up, went to training, and looked through some of the videos that they had I thought it was pretty neat, and the parents are engaging on ReadyRosie. I also read the article that I shared on the welcome to ReadyRosie page and it made me appreciate the program even more, the creator of ReadyRosie Emily Roden created this site because she was looking for activities to help with educating her own children and realized that it was not much out there so created ReadyRosie.
