I find inspiration in a variety of people and things. I would have to say that the person who has most inspired me has been my teacher. She always had a smile on her face no matter how hard she worked and she loved everyone.

The teacher that inspired me was my Physics teacher in grade 9. She always had this sweet and comfortable one-on one relation with all her students. I never hesitated asking her anything. (Though we use to fear her being angry, too, when it came to work). She was always there for us no matter what. Now when I myself am a teacher, I try to imply whatever I have learnt from her.

A teacher is an important person in everyone's life. The teacher that inspired me was my History teacher in 1st year. I Always enjoyed her lesson. She was very kind and loving. I always wanted to be like her the way she dressed up and the way she talked. I have learnt to be disciplined and punctual. I never hesitated asking her anything because she was friendly and sweet. She had always guided my through difficult times and encouraged me whenever I was down. I always try to imply everything which I have learnt from her in my lessons. She was everything a good teacher should be.

A Teacher can influence many important aspects in an individual`s life. Teachers are much like a second parent. They help mold and shape a child`s personality. I was inspired by my Chemistry teacher who taught me in class 9th she was Gold medalist from Punjab University and i remember they were 5 sisters had no brother .I was quite naughty and chill student at that time she make me realize the importance of education and i do remember her politeness and she knows what motivates her student. One day she called me and assigned me a task to arrange and organize Chemistry lab it made me feel responsible and proud that she thought I was capable of doing that task, that day onwards I always felt responsible and took her tests and assignments seriously. Now working as a teacher i understand her strategy to make me responsible. She was brilliant in her way whatever she taught.

I can never forget my add maths teacher, she was the gem of a person. I love maths and for this actually credit goes to her. She was very polite and always approachable. She was friendly but firm as well. She never scolded me even then I always sure that the work assigned by her was my priority. She just not taught but enabled us to solve difficult maths problems. Now today when I am in her shoe, I can simply say she worked really hard and I try my level best to adapt her qualities and implement those in my classes.

I was inspired by my mathematics teacher in college as he made math fun and even most difficult questions were made easy by his wonderful teaching methodology. He was never firm with the students yet there were no discipline issues in his class.

The teacher that inspired me the most is my English teacher in class 6.She taught me English for 4 years when I was in UAE. She taught me how to write in cursive style. It feels great when my colleagues and students praise me for an amazing hand writing that I have today. This credit goes to my mentor Ms. Sadia Tehseen. I am still in touch with her.

The teacher that inspired me the most was my Arts teacher of grade 4 and 5, she had a very charming personality, her friendly approach was liked by everyone in the class, she was patient and easy going but when we did anything wrong she disciplined us and taught us good behaviour. She's the basic reason I believed that I can actually turn my ideas into different creative images.

Task#1She was my Islamiat teacher, Miss Aqeela. I still remember her name because of how she inspired me to learn more and more and delve into the wonders of knowledge with every lesson which passed. In the beginning of the class she would always remind us of our objectives and the purpose of the lesson-this motivated me to compare myself with the objectives and check whether I was able to achieve them by the end of the lesson or not. Whether I was able to learn something new or not. I was inspired by her due to the portrayal of the knowledge she inhibited. Miss Aqeela would never turn me down on my mistakes rather would encourage me to learn by my mistakes, this eradicated the fear of making mistakes allowing me learn with inspiration and want, without the fear of failure. Furthermore Miss Aqeelas’ punctuality and the knowledge she had always inspired me to learn and become a person like her. She always made learning fun by making the class interactive and forcing us to participate in the class. These are the things which carved her into a good teacher. Task#2I try to implement active learning in my teaching style a lot as my teaching consists of involving the student in the lesson and focusing more on how the student is learning rather than what the student is learning. I conduct activities in which the students have to use their mind and work it up in order to reach to a certain answer, engaging their minds is a vital part of my lessons. However active learning was not present and implemented when I was being taught which made the lessons extremely monotonous and killed the drive to learn, the process only included the receiving and giving of information in monotonous ways without engaging the student him/herself.

Active learning is where students are actively involved in learning process not necessarily through activities always but it can be through listening as well.

I have learnt about Active learning. It must not always a 'hands on' or a group work but it can be listening as well. Through a little challenging task with clear instructions can easily grab everyone's attention. By using the simpler resources we can develop curiosity among students. I have learnt that when students are learning actively they are actively or experientially involved in the learning process. Also we need to be very careful while taking responses through hand raising approach as it can limit the learning of the learners who aren't participating. In this session I have learnt that active learning doesn't mean learners will involve physically in an activity or task , it may be a critical thinking ,higher order questioning, open ended questions.it is an instructional method that involves learners in learning process. Every individual has their own way of learning and memorizing like we had watched a video in the session and observed their were VAK learners. I have learnt that Active learning uses student engagement to teach. With less lecture time, students are expected to learn through collaboration and exploration in a more student-centered approach than traditional learning that has relied on long teacher lectures.

Pose-Pause-Pounce-Bounce is much more suited to elicit deep thinking.

Learning about Edward De Bono Hats was something extraordinary. Yes, we have been using such kind of strategies in our classes; assigning different roles to all group members, but clearly, this gives it a whole new perspective and a guided direction. Secondly, working in Expert groups with De Bono Hats was one activity that I enjoyed the most. I am definitely going to use it in my class someday. :)

I m clear about the difference between formative assessment and summative assessment. AFL is an ongoing process that helps the teacher to know or measure students' learning within the lesson. I also got to know that diagnostic assessment is neither formative nor summative. I'll definitely going to use different AFL techniques (e.g. Traffic lights, mood chart, Thumbs up or down, 2 stars and a wish, etc) in my class to assess my students.

Why appreciation is important?Appreciation remarks from teacher is a character building block for students. After the effort students put in to do work when they are appreciated by teachers, it gives a boost to their confidence and gives them motivation to do better. Not only after the completion of work, but also students attitude, his behaviour, his small good act, let him know that he is important and teachers expevt alot from you, is also very important to motivate them. Parents and teachers positive connection is very important in improving the students academic performance.
Parents play a huge part in letting the teacher know about the students personal space and teacher making this as her major concern can take measurements accordingly that will challenge the childs academic growth.
A parent should be open to listen about any criticism of his child and is able to accept and tries to work on his child and council. since in many cases students homeplace could be effecting their personal growth leading to mental stress. And this can build up tension during the class learning. Such things should be conveyed to the teachers so that she changed her strategy of teaching or council the student.
Teachers and parents healthy discussion on child is essential to over any hurdle the child iss facing. Working together can bring alot of changes in childs acedemic performance as well as their mental and physical health.

Assessment of learning:

Assessment is tool to make sure if the student is learning also it helps the student to learn
It helps the student to identify where they stand in class and where they need to make improvemnet. It also helps the teachers to know where she needs to focus and come up with better strategy for students learning.
Its is a self awareness task for both student and teacher learning.

Task two:

When i was a student teachers always try their best to make the students participate by asking them questions during the lesson.
Whereas now the teaching tools are more advanced and so are the students who have more exposure as compare to the previous generation all due to digital world.
Active learning in this digital era can work wonders. I recently engaged my students in an activity that included research work. I want my students to work independently, so i gave them a project to do on powerpoint and make the project as creative as they can. The feeling of accomplishment will give boost their confidence.
I also started questioning each and every single student during the lesson. And also telling students that i need you to participate in the class and that i will appreciate alot. I appreciated my each student and thanked them that they attended the class and i told them that i was happy to see them online.

Task one:
Myy dearest and most favourite teacher who inspired me was Miss Afshan. She taught me 1st grade. I was shifted to lahore from karachi and everything was new and alien to me.
Making new friends, getting along with new people was not my thing.
Miss Afshan was the one to read my personality and where i lacked.
She put alot of effort in bringing up my self esteem and confidence. She used to give me importance and made me feel that i am equally important as other students were in the class.
A GOOD teacher always get along with her students well she must try to read and acknowledge that every student is different. A teacher must work on bringing up the students confidence. She should also have a persona that students feels easy and comfortable in talking to her. A good teacher by her teaching style builds up the curiosity in the students to learn more.
Appreciation towards even little progress of student can work wonders on developing positive attitude towards learning.

My friend suggested these areas of improvement:
1) starter activity could have involved questions from easy ro complex ones.
2) online class rules were told at the beginning but could have been repeated once or twice during the lesson.
3) Asking students to send emojis would have been an x-factor.

Evaluation of the lesson
the objective of the lesson was to make CVC words using GPC set 1,2 and 3
Students were given magnetic words on the board and were asked to sound out the letters.The students were encouraged to volunteer to come to the board and try to make three letter words.students enthusiastically participated in the activity.
focus task was making cvc words on worksheets
the group 1 was given plastic letters to make cvc words,
group 2 was given letters flashcards along with picture cards to make words
Early finishers were given picture cards to try to write the CVC words from set 4,5
overall the lesson was interactive,group rotations were on time,
peer assessment was encouraged,the students on the focus table were given time to think and assess their own learning,

Use more resources and in order to cater all types of learners.

Use student goal-setting:
Show your students how to set and monitor their own goals and progress. This
encourages autonomous learning, responsibility, and asks students to ask and
confront the questions “What am I struggling with now?” and “How can I improve
my learning?” She suggested me to incorporate a weekly personal or small group check in during class.

Challenging tasks : Questions assigned should have ranged from easy to hard tasks depending on student abilities.

Though three differentiated tasks was planned for above average, average and below average students but the task planned for average students was somehow more challenging. Many students asked for support. Next time, a little less challenging task will be planned. So that most of the kids are able to attempt it independently and feel sense of achievement.

(Three Areas of Improvement identified by a critical friend.)
1. Teacher could have used
Quizziz to measure progress of students instead of using chat box, as it would give her whole class as well as individual progress at the end of the quiz.
2. Objectives of the lesson plan didn’t meet plenary; instead of asking forms of verbs, teacher could have asked students to type a sentence using verbs in chat box. So maximum students could get a chance to participate in less time.
3. Instead of differentiation by length/quantity, differentiated written task should have been planned for strugglers so they could easily complete written task on time. For high achievers there must have been some extra practice through which they could engage and consume time productively.

Selfe evaluation

I realised i need to thoroughly make the students read the chapters and then give them worksheeta to solve them.

Somestudents remain silent even whn asked them question, those students should be asked questions even more frequently so that they are well prepared.
I will tell those students that this is the paragraph you need to explain after sometime. This will give the student the time prepare her part.
Time management will is big issue.
Powerpoint presentation is very important , aswel as students ask questions which needs a proper power point presentation for better explaination.
I should ask the questions from the popular students less in class and should ask the questions from the quite students so that they also feel important.
Discipline is important which i find is less because there is alot of interuption while delivering the lecture. Ill ask students to raise their hands.
Frequent checking of assignment and feed should be priority.
Keeping a check on handed in assignment is crucial for the student regularity and participation
I will give feed back to the parents of the students who are not submitting the assignments on time .

I should add more resources.
Starter activity should be added.

During the class, I found that students enjoyed starter activity ( cross word puzzle having terminologies of the current topic) as everyone was involved and participating through chat box.

During practice stage, I realized that almost 8 to 10 students were participating and sharing their working with me through chat box or by turning on their cameras. Their were around 5 to 6 students who were not sending their work or participating even after so many times I called out their names.
These girls would be warned to participate or otherwise I would be calling their parents.

I thought the wrap up activity would be again an interesting one but somehow I didn't go well, next time I'll plan some effective plenaries.

1. Difficult vocabulary; a little more time could have been spent in order to get kids familiar with the terms.
2. Differentiated written task could have been planned.
3. Unless it was a reinforcement lesson, in starter activity, teacher could have connected to other tables they have learnt already, instead of 'completing the wheel of table of 10'.

1) For the explanation of 3D shapes Video should be shown.
Showing video of making nets of 3D shapes would make students understand well and through video they could make 3D shapes themselves easily.
2) Time management
If the students would have watched the video they would have made the net in lesser time.
3) wrap up
As students took lot of time in hand on activity wrap up was not that effective.

Meaning of cognitive Research : Study of human mind. To know how human brain process if provided with something. The process of thinking; analyzing, relating, how. Why , when, discovering etc etc

A researched based data collection in three areas; (a)Research on cognitive science. That how our adapts with the information acquired. (b) research on classroom practices of master teachers; use of resources teachers provide to students for learning and students result outcome. (C)Research on students cognitive supports to help students learn complex task; providing student’s with practical tasks.

These three research goes hand in hand and complement each other.

1. Effective learning in class; Recap of the previous lesson , recapping the concepts before starting, review assignments and pointing out mistakes and corrections.
2. Present students with less material at a time so that its stays in their memory and easy to digest :D some subjects require small details and step by step instruction such as in maths. One Good Strategy is to summarize the paragraph and writing in own words. Hand and mind coordination :D
3. There are several ways to conduct questioning to the students without scaring them off, such as asking to tell the answer to the peer, summarize in two lines, rasie hands and so much more, the answers of the students can give an idea if the concepts of clear to the students or if she should repeat it again. Its also a good way of evaluating the lesson.
4. Ask questions from students using the 3D Models, maps and visuals etc to know their clarity of concepts. Make the students think and analysis providing them with prompts such a s3D models. There are five core principles that center on task-based learning.
Online learners must actively engage with the e-Learning content in order to fully grasp the information and apply it in the real world. This involves a multi-phase process of activation, demonstration, integration and other essential components.
1. Demonstrate
Online learners are able to absorb the information more effectively when they see a prime example.
2. Apply
Online learners have to apply the information and skills they've learned to get the full benefit of the e-Learning course. Based on the Merrill's Principles of Instruction, this comes in the form of interactive problem-solving and task performance. For example, online learners are encouraged to carry out each step of the task on their own. This gives them the ability to see the challenges and obstacles first hand.
3 . Activate
Acquiring the information isn't enough. Online learners must also be able to link it to pre-existing knowledge and mental schemata.
4. Integrate
This is where it gets personal. The integration principle pertains to meaning and context.
5. Engage
One might say that this is the star principle. It involves task-centered learning that encourages online learners to engage with the e-Learning content.
