The happiest day of my life was when I had a personal encounter with God on November 27, 2010. I was going through a time in my life where I felt very sad and lost, I had low self-esteem and struggled with anxiety. On that occasion, I was on vacation with my mother in Montería and while listening to a sermon on TV, alone in the house, I knelt down, talked to God, asked for forgiveness for my sins, opened my heart to him and felt like all the weight I was carrying in my soul disappeared. I began to love myself more and to change the negative attitudes I had for positive ones, and since then my life has been different.

A Tough Day

One day, when I was around 7 years old, I was on vacation visiting my mom in Montería. We were riding our bikes when I had an accident. My right foot got caught in the bicycle wheel, and the pain was excruciating. I was so sad because I couldn't play with the other kids and had to stay home for many days instead of going outside.

My Favorite Trip

In 2017, I traveled with my daughter and husband to the city of Santa Marta. We were there for three days for a Christian event called "The Voice of the Martyrs." We participated in conferences about faith and resilience. It was a rural setting with beautiful cabins and a zoo that we could visit in our free time. There were also pools and green areas to enjoy as a family. It will undoubtedly be one of the experiences that I will always remember in my life because we enjoyed our stay and it filled us with joy to be able to share together as a family.

A Dark Day

On December 24, 2014, my maternal grandfather passed away in a clinic in the city of Montería. At that time, I was living in the municipality of Lorica, Córdoba, with my husband and daughter. When I received the news, I was filled with sadness because he was like a father to me. I lived with him and my grandmother for 12 years and have very beautiful memories of him and the care he had for me. My grandfather was an example of love, sacrifice, and kindness, a rare human being whose memory I will always carry in my heart.

A dream come true

On August 14, 2023, the same day as my birthday, I received some very exciting news. In May of that year, I had begun the process of applying for a university scholarship at the Aurelio Llano Posada Foundation in Medellín. After passing all of the requirements, I was thrilled to learn that I had been awarded a full scholarship for an undergraduate degree. I was with my daughter in the living room of my house when I received the message. I was filled with joy because I had not been able to pursue professional studies since graduating from high school due to lack of funds. This was the miracle I had been waiting for 11 years, and it had finally come true before my eyes.

Dreams Achieved: The Reward of Hard Work

In 2012, while I was in my last year of high school, I took the ICFES state exams and obtained the highest score among all students. It had always been my dream to achieve this, so I prayed every night and strived to excel academically every year. That day, I saw the result of all my effort. I was very happy because I knew that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. I shared my achievement with my family and close friends, who congratulated me and gave me their full support.

On September 19, 2014, my daughter was born. It was a day filled with mixed emotions. On one hand, there was the joy of meeting her, and on the other, there was the fear of the complications I was having during labor. Time was running out, and her life was in danger. But then, the miracle happened. After such a long wait, she was in my arms. My mother was also overjoyed to meet her and never left our side. She was a great support to me before, during, and after delivery.

Dedication and Discipline: My Path to the Podium

The "Trepadores de Colosiná" is an event held in San Carlos, Córdoba, where children, young people and adults participate in different athletic competitions. When I was around 8 years old, I participated in one of these competitions. I was motivated by my uncle Omar, who trained me for the race. I ran 50 meters with two girls my age and won first place. That day, my heart was filled with satisfaction and happiness because after so much effort I had achieved victory. My family was also very happy, so much so that they still keep the newspaper where the news was published.

A Field Trip Day

In 2011, when I was in tenth grade, our teachers organized a field trip to a place known as La Barra, in San Carlos, Córdoba. It took us an hour to walk up the mountain, as they are very high. There are waterfalls, a lookout point, many trees, and a beautiful landscape in this place. On that occasion, we visited a farm with an incredible view, where we shared, played, had lunch, and had a great time. That day was full of joy and many smiles.

A Different Birthday

On August 14th of last year, on my birthday, I received many surprises. My church friends organized everything. I didn't suspect anything and went out with my daughter and husband to eat ice cream. When I came home, they were there waiting for me with a beautiful cake, sweets, gifts, and a serenade. I felt a lot of emotion, joy, and gratitude. It was a very special day. I received many loving messages, my family was present with very beautiful words, and I enjoyed that birthday with great joy.
