Achieving the purpose

I feel like this documserie dose achieve the purpose of the show because the show used the Reid Technique that’s used to interrogate the Central park five in real and in the show to give the audience a look on what really happened and how the feel. Some of the strategies that were used were that she got background information about the event of the Central Park Five and from the people that were involved in the events and talked to them to understand. Also the director talk to the five man that were wrongfully incriminate for months before the series even started to film for the actors that were playing the them to feel what they felt at that time. The title itself of the documserie has a mean “ When They See Us” was to ask a pertinent question of how the boys were found guilty without any evidence.

Conclusion

When I finished watching this show I was in complete disbelief of what I just witnessed I was very angry at the people who put these young man away for a crime they didn’t commit and I feel really sad because they spent their lives their childhood locked away in a cage because somebody decided that they were going to be the ones to blame because they didn’t feel like looking for anybody else to blame. The impact that this show had on me as a viewer was sadness and over all anger by the things that were done to this young colored man they were children who were beaten and made them confess to a crime they did not commit and forced to lie so that could close the investigation and had someone to put alway for a crime. The way that this show made me change my mind about an issue is that it made me see that as a people of color I have to be more aware of the things going over like the Black Lives Matter Movement and it made me understand why they are fight for that. Yes this as definitely given me a new perspective because I have faced discrimination before and I felt horrible but this show made want to stand up to those type of people who chose to do that to one another and to treat people with kindness always.
