HISTORY OF TOURISM IN MALAYSIA

Tourism in Malaysia is a major industry and contributor to the Malaysian economy. Malaysia was once ranked 9th in the world for tourist arrivals. The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Reposrt 2017 ranks Malaysia 25th out of 141 countries overall.

The Tourist Development Corporation of Malaysia (TDC) was established on 10 August 1972 as an agency under the former Ministry of Trade and Industry by an Act of Parliament. With the inception of the Ministry and became the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Act 1992. Popularly known as Tourism Malaysia, its full focus is on promoting Malaysia domestically and internationally. Tourism Malaysia now has 34 overseas and 11 marketing representative offices.

My mother as a housewife and my father already passed away since 2013. But insyaAllah i knows Allah is the best planner. Actually, i have 8 siblings, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. They're my strength. By the way, in my future i wan to be a successful entrepreneur or "mutawif" like what the course of study i took at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).
